NH192: Home Lands: How Women Made the West: /Constructed by five teachers and several historians of the AmericanWest/, /this teaching unit for Grades 4-12 puts women at center stagein the creation of new home lands in three regions of the AmericanWest.  Supplemented by a CD with abundant primary sources andfull-color images, this teaching unit shows how women made homes andcommunities with the resources available to them and thus how theyshaped three regions of the West from pre-contact times to thetwentieth century.
